Hi, I'm building a new computer for music production, and I'm going to buy the ASUS Essence STX II 7.1 (PCI Express 1.0, 24 Bit, 124dB) sound card, and an Intel i7 Quad-Core processor. I just need to know, which kind of motherboard from the ASUS range I should buy:

    .ROG (Premium-gaming & Overclocking)

    .Pro Gamer (Mainstream Gaming)

.TUF (24/7 durability), which specialise in cooling

Here's a link so you can get a better idea: https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/

Since you are using an add in card i imagine it shouldn't make much difference. if it was me i would head over to an audio production forum as they may tell you to get a better card that the one you're listing and also may know if certain motherboards have less electrical noise generation. interference/noise etc is the devil i imagine! ;-)
