I think we may need a reminder, every five minutes for the new kids to the forums, a banner at the top of the page saying "GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND, USE IT! www.google.com"

I use 'Sony Vegas' (ver 6)

It's the only program I've used other than windows movie maker 1/2

I think it's excellent, can do literally anything, after you get used to it. Fairly easy to use, I would recommend it, but perhaps it's better to get advice from someone who has more experience with a wider variety of progs.

It's not difficult; it's very basic! Cut in/out, previous/next keyframe and so forth. Then you choose the video and audio output you want (plus any filters you might want to apply) and, when you've done all your cuts, you kick it off and let it run. If you don't want to change the audio/video format just leave the processor boxes as "copy" and it won't touch the stream in question. Great for MPEG2 cutting ;)

I was thinking about getting Final Cut HD Express for £130 but seeing as I might not be a media student for much longer it would be pointless, also I want drinking lessions.
