Righty, it's time we scheduled a racing day, this time a 'serious' racing day, but we're running this one only a week after the last since it's a great excuse for a trip to the cinema to go and see Rush too.

Update: Cinema showing at 20.10 on Saturday at Kilmarnock Odeon. If you want to confirm if you're going we can all make sure to swap numbers / meet up.

The racing event will run from 11.00am (set up from 10.30am) until 10.00pm[/b] , games are

    Live for Speed
    Simraceway
    F1 2012
    Dirt 3

I would love to have iRacing in there as well, but the best stuff in it does mean spending money so not sure if that would go down well for everyone. And it does take ages, so maybe save that for an online night. Grid 2 would be another possibility if enough people have it, but I suspect not.

Event cost is £3.00 (excluding cinema ticket)

If most have 2012, I don't mind buying it, there's key stores selling it for about 10 Euros, so we could just run with that if it's easiest?

We had a casual racing day last time for Flatout, Trackmania etc. Emphasis this time is on racing rather than destruction, though I have a feeling I may be forced to eat my words on that one.

We've done a few serious racedays and a fun one, how about a wacky raceday. The Japan world cup comes to mind but don't actually know what games would fit the bill.

    Me neither!

I think it would just be the same as the fun race day. Last time that was stuff like Zero Gear, Trackmania, Blur and the silly modes in Dirt 3.

There actually was a Wacky Races game on the Dreamcast I remember, but it wasn't a LAN game as such.

I'm not fussed about the cinema. Would be nice to go as a group but we could organise that for another weekend. Race day matters more!

Ahahaha! That LAN logo is simply epic! XD

Sadly, though, I can't make this one which really sucks as I'd love to see Rush with a bunch of people who'd actually appreciate it. : (

I guess there's time lost travelling but seeing a hardcore racing movie sandwiched between playing hardcore racing simulators can only add to the day! : )

Tricky one. We have one who wants to see the film Saturday night, one for Sunday and others who are not bothered.

My logic is to make it Saturday night.

    Derek said 'preferably' Sunday.
Nanaki said he can't make Saturday but isn't bothered.
    Antland said Saturday.
dekadeka doesn't want to go to the cinema.

So unless there's major objections elsewhere, I think just make it Saturday night for the cinema and just make the LAN run the whole day?

    And switch F1 to 2012?

So if we're making this an all day race LAN - how many of you are bringing Eyefinity setups now? :)

2012 is fine with me, I voted for Saturday as I would like a full Lan day. Anyways I prefer going to the cinema a night so that is fine with me also. :)

My monitors are all hard mounted now, so just a single display for me though I like the look of that AOC Q2963PM 29" Ultra Wide IPS / LED Monitor. Sleek

I might have just ordered a third monitor.

    ... because race LAN.
