Well, just built a new system with a Phenom II 550 and bought a Nexus 430w PSU off of Kustompcs.

Waw!!! Quietest PSU i have ever had. The PC is almost dead silent now. I have tried many PSU's over the years; Corsair, Enermax etc and this Nexus blows them out of the water for quietness.

Plus, it is a quality PSU so 430w is more than enough.

Nice one Kustom for stocking them!!

SPCR said the same thing, this will be my next PSU (aside from a 150w PicoPSU) :D

Yea, read that as Graeme sent me a link.

Really, tried many PSU's over the years and this is the quietest by miles!! 430w is more than enough and i have a modern rig.

Koolpc doesn't believe in SPCR :p

Still not as quiet as my Antec Phantom though ;) Or other passive solutions.

SPCR are not always 100% correct!! I know as i have tested many components that they say are 'quiet' but in 'Real World' computing turn out to be the opposite!!

Believe me, the Nexus cannot be heard mate!!

i changed the fan in my coolermaster 850w psu it was very loud not fast but had a whine that annoyed me (14cm fan) although the psu has 6 12v rails it still runs cool with a silent fan in.

My old 350w (300w?) Nexus PSU is now in my fileserver - it's still inaudible! I upgraded to a seasonic for y rig and was gutted at the amount of noise it produced (and that wasn't much).

I will be getting a Nexus PSU for my next upgrade, no question :)
