What's the best network to use for mobile 3g internet (USB dongle on laptop) whilst travelling about the UK?

    Three any good ?

Have O2 on the iPhone but their coverage can be a bit flaky at times.

had a quick look on the orange website, and they don't appear to offer PAYG dongles, only contract, and most seem to be out of stock!

You could try vodafone. We've found that if you can't get signal on O2 you can on vodafone and visa versa.

Three have the best mobile broadband network... Their phone coverage is rubbish, but I've found their MBB works everywhere.

picked up a Three PAYG dongle.
    £35 with 1GB.

That will do me while i'm away, and with some creative accounting i'll slip it into the expenses bill :)
