All those words mean absolutely nothing to me! XD (DOTANEWB).
Prepare for a glorious exponential learning curve. : )
We can set up a recommended items / skill list and that should put a dent in the learning curve.
Shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
Oh and I suffer with dota touretts so don't mind me if I start swearing lol
Force of habit lol
Ja, ja, was fully intending on doing that. : )
Oh, we should random and then go mid to make things interesting! (But, of course, one of us will get like Nightstalker or Bloodseeker and proceed to annihilate everything.)
Will need to get a few more practice rounds in with them as hasn't played them recently especially with all the updates
Can you add my friend TobiasBlue as he will come also will get him to sign up to the fourms too
By the way, if anyone hasn't played DOTA2 before, remember to play it before the LAN and finish the tutorial otherwise we'll all have to wait about half an hour for you to finish it
Completely forgot about that lol but if someone forgets you can do the following
Select Dota 2 in steam right click go to properties,
under the general tab click set launch options then type "-console"
Then when the game starts the console will be open
type "dota_full_ui 1" (without quotation marks)
Also I recommend when your adding the -console also add -novid to skip the intro video
I might make a last minute apperance
Hey guys sorry I can't make the LAN party this Sunday got a few very important things on so if you could remove my name Graeme for someone else to take that would be great!
COUGH Christmas LAN Party COUGH COUGH Warframe COUGH TF2 COUGH COUGH
Yeah, count me in guys (TobiasBlue), might be a bit noobie at dawn of war and company of heros but will try to play the tutorials at least
Eh...is it Company of Heroes, or Company of Heroes (New Steam Version)?
Aye, everyone install the 'new Steam version' for Company of Heroes.
To clarify, the Steam version was reworked to include Steamworks for online/multiplayer play as, previously, Relic games had relied on GameSpy servers (which now no longer exist) for game hosting.
The new Steam version also contains DLC which was just sorta included for free, kinda cool; two new factions (the British and the Panzer Elite) as well as some additional campaign stuff and a few new multiplayer modes.
@Tobias: Welcome! : )
I think my Saturday evening this week is going to consist of playing lots of tutorials.
For DOW. Does everyone have Soulstorm per chance?
It was the latest standalone expansion, supports more modern resolutions and has a bunch of new factions? Might be a shout to use it instead?
Don't have it but should be able to get it for cheap of everyone is up for it
We did look at this before but not everybody had the same expansions.
It can be had quite cheap - on sale till 2nd Dec at £4.99 http://store.steampowered.com/app/9450/
If again though everyone posts below saying they're up for it then we can certainly switch over to the Soulstorm version. It would really need to be everyone attending to be happy with it for it to be fair to change it at relatively short notice.
BryanHand had a spare copy of Soulstorm he, until now, had not been able to give away, so I now too have Soulstorm. Thank you to him! (SISTERS OF BATTLE! )
Of course, it's pending on us all having it.
I have Soulstorm, and I don't mind either way.
