I've been saying for ages it was a shame that Ayr Mountain Bike Club disbanded.

I've not had much spare time from work commitments of late but damnit I really need a bike ride, it's been too long.

Anyone fancy hitting Auchincruive later, can meet up at Ayr College car park for 7pm, ideal starting point for taking the riverside trail to Auchincruive?

    Awesome bike ride was awesome.

Added excitement of my favourite trail being dotted with some 'deposits' from a horse, right on my racing line.

It ups the stakes in terms of danger I suppose.

Now to eat my own body weight in pasta, I think.

    Steve Peat.

He's been about forever, and is still quite good.

That's the beauty of weeks, there's always another one. With a whole new set of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.

I think I'm otherwise occupied on Tuesday / Thursday and I'm in England on Friday (which is a slight setback to cycling in Scotland).

If a group of folk wanted to go out on Tuesday I could maybe shuffle that about. I can't really move Thursday.

    It's too heavy.

I hope I can handle the blazing hot weather, it's a bit closer to the equator than I'm used to.

I can't come as my bike doesnt function :( - the chain comes off after 10 seconds of pedalling, and the only other bike available to use has 0 suspension which wouldnt really work on a trail ^_^

    What a shame :/

Does it actually come off entirely or does it just jump gear? It could be that the gear mechanism is pulling it because the cable has stretched and needs adjusted.

Sometimes just tweaking the barrel adjusters at the gear shifters can sort it out.

If the chain or gears are just worn though, that can cause jumping and you'll have to spend some cash to put it right.

Sometimes even as well if a new chain has been fitted it may need some links taken out of it to be a suitable tension. If there's too many links then it would be too long and could fall off easily.

    Scroll up. 7.30 alright?

Probably out for about 2 hours to explore a reasonable number of the trails.
