I need to set up my printer for use on Linux Lite OS.
The set up disc will not do the trick as it's for Windows and Mac only so I downloaded HPLIP as the printer is compatible with Linux (but maybe not Linux Lite?) and got no where.

I am not prepared to buy a new printer in any case so I need to make this work.

    Thanks

Unfortunately Linux does not support any Windows components at all.
I installed Linux as XP did not allow connection to the internet on my laptop, don't know why but it just didn't.
Now I've got Linux (and hate everything about it) I'm stuck with all the problems it offers.

Sorted it from the very comprehensive options and was actually easier than expected with no set up disc needed.

Something I like about Linux is that once a driver is made it tends to stay for all time. That means you can use 20 year old hard ware with the latest Linux version.
