    Does anybody know?

I've been Googling around and can't seem to find out the answer anywhere, I've purchased an HDMI cable as a replacement to DVI, as my cable is pretty bulky and I'd like to make things neater.

    Thanks

As far as I know yes.

Most of the PCs I use with HDMI are hooked up to TVs rather than monitors, but I'm pretty sure the one I've got that's hooked up to a monitor does 60Hz.

If you've already got the cable give it a try.

IIRC HDMI is superiour to DVI so if DVI can do it you'll be fine. No wait. HDMI can do 1080p60 so yeah you're good :)

Thanks for the replies guys, I've just seen a spec sheet from wikipedia that details the resolutions & refresh rates that each version is capable of.

I'll post it up in case someone else has the same question.
