Hi all, just wondered if there are any free runners here, or people interested in streetstunts, tricking or parkour.

    :D

The only stuff I've seen was on Top Gear when they raced a Peugeot 207 against two Parkour enthusiasts. Filmed over about 4 days altogether- there's a behind-the-scenes video somewhere showing all the crash mats hidden out of view :p

Still impressive. I prefer stairs and cars myself...

Yea the reason for crash mats is the health and safety the show has to enforce. Daniel Ilabaca one of the free runners is capable of so much more and he could have easily done those drops and rolled out fine, just health and safety. I'll be training with Ilabaca on Sunday :D

Shifty.Ricky, it's not a hobby nor is it a sport, but this is section I thought would be most appropriate for a thread like this as it certainly isn't overclocking :p

Watch District 13 - most of the actors are free runners. And it's an awesome film! Just watch it subtitled, not dubbed :p

    stupid americanisms - it's parkour :)

The original and probably the best - Sebastien Foucan has a good site on it. He's also the one in casino royal (plays mollaka) and he did the bbc ads iirc

Yeah District 13, some awesome scenes in that, especially love that bit where he goes feet first through a tiny window in the top of a door into a granny flat on the way to escaping from the baddies...

Mollaka is W**ker in greek. I bet Sebastien didn't know that when he got the part. Either that or he was skint.
