I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro SPA10 / PSA15E laptop which has problems connecting to the internet via Windows XP OS. I'm happy to use XP as I only need internet access and am not prepared to pay stupid amounts for other Windows OS discs. This is an old problem which appeared when I bought the laptop refurbished. Windows worked fine but I just couldn't get connected to the internet. I subsequently installed Linux Lite/Ubuntu which did allow me to connect to the internet although the OS really dragged the laptop operating speed right down, it struggles to respond quickly enough. RAM is hard to come by so I only have 750Mb installed and the maximum RAM anyway is 2Gb. Can anyone please help to identify the problem; why can I connect to the internet with Linux Lite OS but not with Widows XP?
