computer on wheels

Hi, I need the ability to run windows xp in my van, I did think about buying a low power desktop and running that off an inverter but wasnt sure of any implications I may face, is it possible to do away with the pc power supply and run it off dc volts? components, hard drive,, are their special hard drive for mobile use? some many questions,, anyone able to point me in right direction? thanks.

Thumbs up

Welcome to the boards

Click on the link to the shop in the top left corner of the page, then look in the in-car section. There'll be special in car psu's there. Other than that, you just want components with low power consumption so as not to drain your battery.

It really is that easy ;-)
