KPC LAN 5... Sun 27th September !

Foreword:

OK, so we're having another LAN party on Kustom's (secret?) upper floor!

Sunday 27th September - pop this in your diary for a single day LAN event of fun. There's a couple of days grace here where people have the chance to tell me I've picked a stupid date which clashes with something more important... after that, we're committing to it. As once I've updated the LAN party page bit of our site, it's staying that way. I mean it.

Anyway, what will be happening?

As with previous formats, we'll have a day of gaming fun at the Kustom store, it's a bring your own computer event and cost for the day will be £10 which will include some snacks and juice too.

Want to see what happens? Here's a write up on KPC LAN 3 http://forums.kustompcs.co.uk/showthread.php?t=48071

A few differences this time - a slightly later start... that extra hour of sleep will hopefully encourage a few more people along, but also we'll be using and running to a schedule. So every game has a time, breaks for lunch and dinner are at set points - not trying to force any sort of dictatorship, but people coming and going all through the day at different time I feel was something we needed to address from previous events, so some co-ordination here means everyone plays at the same time and there's less waiting around. Simples !

Oh ! And we have new games to the play. Old favourites such as Armagetron, Zombie Panic and Trackmania will of course remain, but they say variety is the spice of life... so let's add a few new ones.

The date for your diary is : Sunday 27th September 2009.
Location : Kustom PCs Shop, 40 Fort St, Ayr, KA7 1DE (upstairs!)
Times : Gaming will start at 11am. Arrival and setup from 10.00am, although please try to be there sharp, so that nobody is still setting up when the gaming starts. We'll finish gaming around 10.30pm, and need to close up for 11pm.
Cost : 10 of your pounds.

The game plan.

COD4 - Warm up with a deathmatch, then team search & destroy games.
Please have patched up to 1.7
FlatOut 2 - Similar principle to our previous GRID games. But with more destruction.
It's only £5.99 on Steam and damn good fun. Please have it installed!
World of Padman - An FPS where killing people earns you paint. Cover the most walls with your colour to win. Download here
Trackmania Nations - Time Attack
Free Download on Steam
Continuum : Massively Multiplayer Spaceships - Like asteroids, but with more ships.
Free Download
Armagetron (Capture the Flag Mod) - I promise it will work this time.
Free download
CS Source Zombie Panic - decided this works better on multiplayer than left4dead really.
Download here
Tremulous - An interesting mash of FPS / RTS and Aliens vs Predator. Sums it up nicely.
Download here
Armagetron (DeathMatch)
Includes disco and amusing use of 2 Unlimited songs.
Tetron4 - Yes, it's 6 player Tetris.
Download here
Crysis Wars
Free for LAN play. Please patch to 1.5
CounterStrike - Hide & Seek Mod
Server side mod - just have CS Source up to date on your system
Grand Theft Auto 2
Deathmatch mode - Free download here

Then at the end we have a free play. That may mean a 'serious' GRID race coincided with an RTS. You guys choose. Or we might just play Armagetron. Again.

So, if you would like to come, please reply below and we'll add your name on the signup sheet. Feel free to add your name on the facebook event page after confirming too http://www.facebook.com/event.php?ei...8860895&ref=nf
