Delete XP paritition from Dual boot with Vista!!?!!
I have spent the last two days trying to figure out how to do this:
I want to remove XP, the partition it is on, and then reclaim the space for vista. XP was installed ont he HD first, with one partition, vista was installed in a new partition. The Partion with XP is listed under Disk Management as being: "System, Active, Primary Partition". Vista is listed as "Boot, Page File, Crash Cump, Logical Drive". I think I need to do something with the MBR, so that it calls on the PBR of the vista partition which should then call up bootmgr. Then I should be free to format the XP partition and then join them together. Now just how do I go about doing this? I'm totally out of my depth tbh! If I had known it was going to be this difficult I wouldn't of done this in the first place!!

I had the same issue and in the end I reinstalled Vista and deleted the XP partition in the process.
