That is one hell of a Solo, and your a beginner? (Correct my if I'm wrong)

If you are, I would start off with some Jimi stuff or something much easier to learn.

My skill level varies, I'm better at things like solos than I am bar chords etc.

Yeah I think tapping is like hammer on's, its a tap when its too far away to be a hammer on

I was kinda put of by the name partly before.

but WOW! That's some tres fast guitaring.

'Nother good thing is they're English, always good to have some good English bands. I hardly listen to any, but I think I'll erhm, 'acquire' some Dragonfore now.

And good luck with trying to play that solo

Woo Devil - ness screenshot time!

I will have a look on the interweb for a how-to video, that's how I learnt harmonics. Good ol interweb.

Hey have you guys heard of Sikth? My friend has shown me to them and i think they're great, the good thing about em is that not many people have heard about them, they still think they're cool cause they listen to S.O.A.D and Linkin Park.

licklibrary is worth a short subscription - not a long one thou cos you can just download all the lessons... plenty of tips in there.

Tapping isn't too difficult at first (just keep it slow and use a metronome) - don't forget to crank up the distortion (high gain = best results) and get practicing...

hmm i don't want to pay for it, i can just get my mate to teach me, but that will have to wait till next week and i want to learn now.

I'm confused say your playing this:

NOTE: "T" means tap

T T T T
e|--12--8--12--8--12--8--12--8~~|
b|------------------------------|
g|------------------------------|
d|------------------------------|
a|------------------------------|
e|------------------------------|

does that mean i tap it then play the note? ehh i need a video.

EDIT: the formatting caused it to **** itself, lesson here

play the 12. then take your finger of it, and already have your other finger on fret 8, then slam down on fret 12 again, then repeat...
