cd/r won't record
I was wondering if anybody could help me with this problem im having with my cdr drive in my old pc? When i try to paste a file to a blank cdr this message comes up: "Cannot create or replace (NAME): Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not write-protected and that the file is not in use." its the 3rd new blank disc ive tried so it cant be the cds.....thanks

when you say old pc, how old. only windows xp has native cd-r capabilities.
use some cd-r software. http://www.nero.com/eng/Downloads.html

Its using windows 98se......i thought you could use a cdr drive with windows 98se.

Microsoft dont support 98 ne more, and as mentioned if u move to XP or XP Pro u will get cd writing out of th box

all these guys are correct. 98se doesnt support writing of cd's without software. personally i still despise windows xp cd writing and would prefer to use nero even for data but that is just my preference.

Nero is the best. Just get it and try it. I find it much better than just using XP.
