Wikipedia goes dark in protest of SOPA
Thats right, Wikipedia and certain other sites like Reddit are going dark or have went dark in protest of SOPA/PIPA.
If you don't know what these things are I suggest you read up since it's potentially damaging to the free internet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikiped...ive/Learn_more https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2012/0...ng-free-speech http://blog.reddit.com/2012/01/techn...-sopa-and.html

Kinda defeats the purpose of a protest. Was more looking to see what everyone's thoughts on it all was.

Wikipedia, the sixth most visited site on the Internet, said that it will go dark on Wed to protest legislation being offered in Congress and in the Senate. That regulation, says Wikipedia and other Internet giants, would stifle free expression and unfairly destroy sites. Other sites such as Reddit, Boing Boing and the Cheezburger Network also joined in the solidarity Wednesday for the said SOPA Strike. Source of article: <snip>
