High Temperatures?

Hi,
Im using the system in my sig at the moment (the 1st 1) and have the volatges and clock speed all on stock (2199Mhz) and 1.5v or something like that, anyway I think these temperatures are way to high, before I overclocked my system it was around 47c CPU and 25c System.

I am currently on the stock settings and temperatures are system 30c and CPU on 64c!! on idle the system won't go below 26c and cpu below 60

, the room temp is only 22c.

Should i be concerned?

yes i would be. you say its on the standard settings now so it should not be going up to 60'C on idea. Either somethig in the background is eating the CPU or there is somethign wrong with your cooler.

try cleaning the dust out if there is any and have a look for background programs. AMD's should be cooler than that i think.

What it could be, I have just remebered this, when I bought the system the cpu fan was plugged into the system fan socket, so it was on full all the time, Jus before overclocking i stuck it in the CPU fan socket, and it only runs on high when the cpu is running high now, could that be part of the reason, I wouldn't of thought it could raise it by 16c though

Ive just gon onto task manager and cpu is on 100%, all im doing is on msn and got this I.E window open

Il open it up later on and check for dust, one thing I did do a week ago was move the heatsink a little, could be that as I might not of put it back on proply.

Temperatures have now gone up to 65c and 31

The psu seems suprisingly hot which doesn't help

when u've got task manager open, what task is using 100% ?

I.E is using it all, this has never occured before
