Alright mate, just realised you look incredibly similar to the god-like iPhone jailbreaker George Hotz or geohot!
Doppleganger week was over long ago but this is sweet
hi [cosmo] they ask me a list of question???!!
did you know any of them to answer for me please?
There are three components that can cause this:
Backlight (Replacement panel, ~£70)
Backlight Inverter (Replacement inverter, ~£20)
Screen cable (Cable varies, but it's very rarely the cable...)
Please answer this questions, and we should be able to work out which component has failed:
Is the picture on the screen distorted, other than the flicker?
Does the flicker happen when the screen is at a certain angle?
Can you trigger the flicker by adjusting the angle of the screen?
Place both hands on the sides of the screen, and gently press with your fingers on the back of the screen- does this cause / stop the flicker?
Is there a high-pitched squeal / whine that stutters during the flicker?
Hi Dilshad, the best place would to be to select a topic from the forum and click "create thread". This means any one on the forum can read it and offer help / advice.
I use www.everymac.com to find out information / hardware specs of my macs. http://crucial.com/uk/ will have a guide that will tell you what RAM is supported by your macbook.
