Hi,

After some advice.
Had my Athlon XP 2000+ for some time now, but the noise from all the fans is driving me mad

What I'm after is some advice for quieter fans & cooling.

On the CPU at the moment I have a Coolermaster HHC-001 Heatpipe which is great for cooling, but extreamly noisy.

The case (a cheapy from PC World!!!) has (I think) oen 60mm fan at the front and an 80mm at the back.

What recomendations for new super-quiet CPU & Case fans from anyone?

Cheers
Mikey

Papst Fans are the best. As for CPU fan, try this http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/product.php?view=2655

Thats when you have to make a choice, Silance or Airflow :(

Why not have the best of both worlds?

Panasonic Panaflo fans are the only choice. ;)

My Athlon XP 2200+ manages just fine without a single case fan so anb XP2000+ will definitely be OK. That gets rid of 2 noisey fans for you.

To cool your CPU, I'd certainly recommend a Zalman cooler. I personally use the Zalman 6000CU and it does the treat for my processor even on the lowest (and very very quiet) setting. You'll also need to consider your power supply unit as this will most likely have a fan inside it. The Antec TruePower series are excellent and quiet.
