Got this phone but I cannot figure out how to spell words when typing messages. I am using the predicitve text messaging but when I want to use a word that is not in the dictionary I cannot find anyway of entering it! My old nokia always allowed me to "spell" the word if it did not know it, I really hope the sharp can do this or I am gonna be well annoyed.

Yeah it did, and unsurprisingly I looked there first! However it doesn't even mention predictive texting in the manual!!

what about on phone help ? My t610 describes all the ins and outs of the predictive text, although it's pretty much the same as my last phone anyways.

Finally found it! Turns out that if you get to a word it does not know then you have to turn off the T9 dictionary and type it in normally and then it magically remembers it! Not quite as obvious as my old nokia but effective once you know how.

Next question is how can I get rid of the "VodaPhone" in big letters across the front of the screen!

If you mean on the plastic part of the screen then I have no idea, if you mean the operator text then see if you can upload new ones into the phone. This is more commonly used on nokia phones but other companies support it just less documented.... (I don't know about sharp).

Isn't that part of the Vodafone Live! menu?

I can't believe it, I have two mates with this phone, both online at the mo, and neither knows the answer

No it isn't part of the menu. It is right across the middle of the main screen saying "vodafone UK" and it is annoying. On my Nokia's you could always turn that off (or replace it).
