I have a Nokia 8210 that is quite happily being used with an Orange Sim card. My friends phone broke so I lent him my 8210 (which is protected by a security code). His O2 sim card worked fine in the phone after I had typed in the security code. Now that I have got the phone back, my Orange sim still works perfectly, but the Security code is NOT what I set it at, nor at the Nokia standard code of 12345. Said friend did not change the code. I am selling this phone on Friday and need the code. Can anyone help?
Michael.

If you can get hold of an S-bus/m-bus cable, you can use a proggy called noktool to find out the security code, and also change it.
Noktool can also be used on most older Nokias for unlocking to use on any network. ( 51xx, 61xx, 3210, 33xx, 82xx, etc) It will not work with newer phones however (8310, 3510, etc)
Be advised though, that if you are not entirely sure of what you are doing, you can end up killing the phone completely.
Noktool is easy to find. Just Google for it and you will find plenty of links to the software.

Thanks, but I managed to get the phone sorted. Seems that the security code had been entered incorrectly more than 5 times so that even when you put the correct code in, it did not accept it. All was solved by removed the battery for half an hour :)
Good little phones the 8210, im trying to get hold of one at the moment, dont need all the features of new fangled handsets, just something to make and recieve calls :)

Pity, I would have been interested. :)

I might very soon be having an 8310 coming up for sale, but I'm not allowed to mention that here, so shhhhhhh!
True, and no, I wouldnt be interested in an 8310 because ive already got one. The 8210's for an older SIM that doesnt need fancy features, just something small and reliable :)

8210 reliable???
I had mine repaired 3 times, and then replace twice for brand new ones, the screens just cant take a iknock without going invisible.
But i still think its the best phone ive ever had, i have a SonyEricsson T68i now that comes close though.
