What an amazing ending and set up for series 3. Talk about blast from the past, the fact that the plot from the first series has just collided with the very end of the second series is fantastic. I can't wait for series 3, theres two plots here that are going to take off, brilliant.

it's goign to be set like 3 years after the events of seasn 2 so quite a lot has probably changed

hard to predict what will happen in the season

Looks like Jack will have a new partner, trailers for series 3 should start appearing soon and you may well see go to use a rest room for the first time! I certainly can't go 24 hours without using the loo, especially in the brown pants situations he gets himself into!

No PJ,

Kim Bauer will apparently end up being a computer geek at CTU and develope a lesbian relationship which she hides from Jack......allegedly....I'll try and find where this teaser came from.

Updated: Found where I read it.....

It's on the Internet so it must be true!

I would imagine that if you could develop a lesbo relationship in 24 hours, hiding it for the same period would be a piece of cake.

I this rumour was recently quashed, in the script her main interest has a gender neutral name and two version of script were seen with him and her, and him seems to be the more recent one.

I hate all this guessing! lol.

i read something along those lines
it didnt say that it was that but

Any hints about Kim’s secret?
It involves Kim’s love life.

Has Kim returned to dating that WASP-y Latino kickboxer who lost his leg during Kim’s escape attempt last season?
Nope. Miguel remains part of Kim’s dating history.

Has Kim gone lesbian? With Mandy? Or Kate Warner?
That would be telling.

All you need to know on '24' series three
22:44 BST, Sunday 10th August 2003 -- by Neil Wilkes
So, series two of 24 came to its dramatic ending tonight, but what do we know about series three already? Digital Spy has all of the details.

First of all, the new series will not follow on immediately from the second. It will, in fact, be set two and a half years later.

How President Palmer's assassination attempt will have worked out is unclear, although Dennis Haysbert, the actor who plays him, will be returning for the new series and will still be the President.

Inevitably, Jack will also be back. He'll be back working at CTU alongside daughter Kim. He'll also have a new partner; at this stage it's unclear whether that partner will be Kate - the actress who plays her, Sarah Wynter, has not been cast as a regular character next series but does make "an appearance."

Several new actors will be joining the cast, including:

DB Woodside: formerly of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Will play Mike Novick's replacement as Palmer's Chief of Staff
Agnes Brookner: Will play a woman whose boyfriend is a drug dealer
Zachary Quinto: Unspecified role
Wendy Crewson: Will appear in "at least a third" of the episodes; rumoured to be playing the love interest of one of the main characters
Fans of Sherry Palmer may be disappointed; reports indicate she won't be back next series.

Series three is due to begin at the end of October in the US; stick with Digital Spy over the coming months for the latest gossip.

from what ive read, jacks partner is a young male - mid 20's and kate is no longer jacks interest
it has happened but by the time of season 3, it has finished
possibly a result of the storyline that leads up to the beginning of season 3

but along with characters like sherry palmer, they part of the 24 verse so can be brought in at any point if need be

from what i know, kim is essentially taking over from jamie's character in season 2 - ie she likes her computers :)

Ling,

When you say "Jack's partner" do you mean terrorist scum-busting, crime fighting type partner, or are you talking in a more sexual sense?

Lets hope a gun-ho partner up for shooting the crap out of everyone rather than a partner in a "sexual sense"

Saw the season finale ages ago... get them from america, it's been a nightmare not telling people what happens. Will most likely be the same next season as it starts in about 4 weeks.

No doubt in the uk it will start nearer christmas :|

Woo hoo! I have seen it! And wow!

I didn't get the connection at the end initially, but with a closer look I see her :)

Considering I watched the last 3 episodes in one go, I'm still getting over the fact that Kim shot Gary. After that I was sure she was to become a CTU agent, a field agent replacing Jack as the hero. Jack would become Mike's replacement after David trusting him 100% But that's all in my little world it now seems :)

So the last episode. A bit too predictable:

You knew the war would be stopped and that (like last season) the story would come to an end leaving open completely for next season
You knew they would get the proof (and time showed it would be from Kinsley)
You knew Palmer would regain his presidency.
After Season One, you had more than an hunch that he would sack Mike (with long time friend Sherry "sacked" last time) although, you knew he wouldn't hold it against the vice president
You knew Jack would live (if only just)
By the time Jack had sat down and Kinsley pooped his head round, you looked at the clock and thought "The swat tem'll be here soon..."

But it was great, no doubt. You didn't know if Sherry would be kept to leave them options or killed off because they know no-one will ever trust her. Although her plead for heaven to God was that she was doing it for her love for David, aaaaahhhhhhh!

I still wanted Victor Drazen to turn up after not being dead... somehow. Or Kim to be evil. Or maybe Kate would turn out to be another Nina. But what we do get is a very vague and unmentioned reference to the past, which I didn't actually notice :( Which is brilliant, because no-one could have pre-empted that.

This is why it was so good, because, unknowing to you, they played us... Again. We knew all of that above, and they played it all out exactely as we thought it. Then they threw that murder attempt in and we realise how wrong we were. This story would not end.

Indeed it has only just begun. :D

I'm just extatic. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

mikes replacement will be played by the actor that played the principle in the last season of buffy

jack will be in charge of field ops at CTU in the next season
which means he doesnt report to tony
will sort of work along side

although he will probably be acting in the future seasons
jsut cause he has contract doesnt mean he has to act
he also has a production role on the show so could jsut mean that
