Right... my good old reliable desk fan has died... almost died myself with the heat today.

Question is where can you get these online ???

Maplin have a massive desk fan on offer atm, metal blades as well. :D

Argos and maplin were my first to searches... argos = nothing... maplin = 1 desk fan, usb run.

What catagories are they in ???

b and q have some grooy ones , even one with blown rubber blades , looks the mutts till close up.

Maplins sell this sort of mini-aircon thing. I bought it for £70, and one week later it was on offer for £50. Its like a cabinet fan, you fill it up with water, and it blow air over the water which gives you slightly cooler air. You can put ice cubes in it to gie you even cooler air. I've had mine running for quite a while now, and have not had any problems with humidity for my PCs with it.

just uild a desk fan out of old case fans you have lieing around.

Nah, too noisy.

Remove socks, roll up trousers, place feet in plastic bowl. Instant water cooling.

You would need to find a way of direct channeling the freezer element right onto your feet.
