Has anyone tried these new things yet Here (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/product.php?view=2628) ? 12dBA noise output?!?! That's amazing!

Whilst I haven't tried it, this is simply a very nice heatsink with the standard 80mm NGL (NGML?) 12dba fan bolted on top.

I'm sure this is a fine arrangement, but I'd actually be fairly nervous about using this kit with the kind of CPUs they are suggesting this thing can cool. My experience of the 12dba Papst is that, although silent, it pushes very little air.

With an ambiant room temp of 20c, you may be fine but I reckon you'd get pretty high temps on a day like today. You'll need excellent case cooling all year round too.

I'd personally swap the 12dba Papst for it's slightly more powerful 19dba brother.

It's not something I'm going to run out and buy cos I already have a Zalman cooler. I was just curious about it!

It's also a bit on the pricey side for a CPU cooler. You could get just about any cooler available for that price, or half a water kit:)

I have a copper cooler with a 80mm YS-TECH. I've attached the fan to my rheobus and @ lowest setting it's probably in the region of 12db. I would be sceptical at running it at such low RPM when the CPU is under load for an great period of time.

However if I set all my fans to lowest setting (good intake/exhaust levels) I find temps are pretty reasonable.

At night I set it to its lowest setting and although it cools little, I guess it moves an ample amount of air when the PC is idle.:)
