a great php editor!!!

just downloaded Zend studio (http://www.zend.com) from zend.com last night...

all i can say is wow!!!

this is the holy grail of php editors...

it can hold all files in a project with a tree structure showing relationships

you have tabs for multiple files on the editing area (great for having your functions open and your config open for reference whilst coding).

it automatically picks up the variables from your scripts and autocompletes them while you are coding.

built in listing of php functions and html syntax also fully integrated with autocomplete...

i did the work of about 2 1/2 days in notepad in about 2 hours last night...

the trial is time-limited but i will be buying it when it expires.

just thought i would share this with you guys :D

i've been trying this out over the last day or so and it really is the daddy. I'm loving the autocomplete, and the debug mode is fantastic. The variable watcher is also pretty cool. Cheers for pointing it out!

I've recently begun learning PHP, and notepad seems fine. I write everything else in there, no reason to get more programs. :D

I use HTLM-Kit, it's a pretty decent editor for HTML, PHP, ASP etc. it uses a plugins system so other scripting languages can be added.
