If I hear the word "Henmania" once more the telly is going through the window. "Henman Hill" also makes me want to vomit. In fact the way the press and media try to force things onto us - they made "Gazza" famous and then decided that everyone would end in zza - Hezza, Tezza and so on.
And then there was Watergate - so every time there's a slight bit of underhand stuff going on it is suffixed with "gate" in the press - Squidgygate springs to mind. Why they have to put "gate" after the word is beyond me.
End of rant and I'm out of a job at the end of the month so look out for more rants from an ageing COBOL programmer !!
