I've done a few jumps - but nothing on a regular basis. I lived in Australia for a couple of years and did them all out there - nothing like coming in to land on a beach!
I'm down to do a charity jump in the next few months - should be good!
Oh and I'm not a great fan of heights either.... Still once you get over that and out of the plane it's amazing! I recomend it!:D

What are the prices like just to do a tandom dive with a trainer bloke? I can't be bothered to learn, I just wanna do it.
tandem jump will cost you about £200.
Mattooooo, i think you have to be 16 but it might be 18

During these dates there is a charity jump happening. Tandem jumps, trying to get as many people to jump as possible, all for a charity which i think is cystic fibrosis. Its held in Northampton. Minimum sponsor you have to raise is £400 and you jump free or raise less and pay on top to jump. Can get more details if anyone is interested.

I plan to take this up in the RAF (fingers crossed). My theory - if the enemy don't kill me first - I might do it - lol.
Seems like fun.
I dont see the point in jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft.
When i had a couple of flying lessons with the RAF i had bad experiences with the parachutes as the retentioning straps nearly made me lose my balls for ever when i stood up out of the kitting room. :D
that is something you got to look out for.
make sure nothing is caught the wrong side of the legstraps because when you open your canopy you will pull about 3G and i don't know about you but my equipment would not like to be hit with that kind of force (ouch)

"Freefall 500 is a direct attempt to set a New World Record for the most Tandem Skydives in 24 hours on Saturday 16 August with corporate and individual tandem skydiving available on other days too. It is set at a new military airfield in the heart of Oxford making it accessible to all.
To participate in Freefall 500 each individual needs to raise a minimum of £400 in sponsorship. Group bookings of up to 8 people are very welcome. Please email Leonard Ansell at leonard@ansell2002.fsnet.co.uk or call him on 01628 820 269 to request your comprehensive information pack.
Last August we set an unofficial World Record and smashed the existing UK Tandem Record with 180 tandem jumps in 24 hours but, this August we intend to smash both records! Most people will only ever skydive once so why not take this opportunity to set a New World Record and help us to see off CF."
These are the details for those interested in jumping. I hope to do it and it would be great to go with others i vaguely know. If i dont manage to then good luck to all the brave souls out there.

Did a few jumps a couple of years bak, started out doing it for charity and tried to carry on but ran out of cash. Now I'm a poor broke student and can't afford to go bak to it.
But seriously, I'd recommend it to any1, biggest rush I'v found yet (besides a few less scary indoor pursuits :-) ), the only things that come close are sports bikes and snowboarding.
I took my parachute training in the forces, then moved to sky diving, the feeling is spot on ,try it at night over the sea the rush is better than sex:D
would like to do some jumps over water and it would also be pretty cool to do some night jumps.
Gotta get back into it. Not been up for over a year now.
If you get the chance you've got to try it,i havent jumped for 2 years, since i lost my leg, keep saying i will do again, dont know many one legged skydivers ,if you no what i mean !!:(
you don't!!!
i do.
My buddy Ali Hodgeson (Think that's correct) at Langar had both his legs blown off in an explosion and he is still skydiving.
He also features in the BPA's annual calendar
no i dont personally,i have heard of them, like i said oneday, and a lot of talking my wife round, since my leg accident, sort of tow the line a bit ,no more mad sports or pursuits.
well, i hope you manage to get back up again.

Never done it before, so can I still do it ?
Would love to give it a go, depending on the dates.
