Lo all,
Just finished watercooling my system yet still summat was making noise.
Admittedly the GF4 was still air-cooled (Gainward :D 750XP) but it wasn't too bad.

Then the noise got louder as the temps wound up. I'd never realised it until now - But it's my PSU. It's really, really noisy. Is this common? It's like a devil-vack thing.

Anyway, any recommendations of a PSU over 400w that's nearly silent? The noise is killing me

Just a silent, 400w + PSU?
Anybody?

or you can wait for the fanless psu which is supposed to be coming soon to kustom which will cost £150 (that's what i'm doing)

cheers sounds good that Zalman one.

I believe the fan in my PSU is thermostatically controlled, cause sometimes my systems' damn well quiet, then it winds up. GF4's aren't sensing fan-equipped are they?

Is it safe to disable this speed-sensing on hte PSU and lock it at a certain voltage...just wondering...
