I really do hate the English/Scottish/Welsh bashing.

Scotlands great for handing around in pubs, you'll find a hell of alot of students there as the tution fees are non existent and there is no work. Locksmiths are non existant in Scotland as most of the population has broken into a car or commited a burguarly by the time they are 10 anyway. They have a Government with few powers but never the less continues to squable over the three or four powers they do have leading to nothing being done. They also have a national anthem in English singing about when their glory days will return. Judging by the football and rugby results this won't be anytiem soon.

Wales is an alright place, theres actually a few jobs to be had. The sheep are no longer nervous, many have plumited to their deaths from the slag stacks. Many were slaughtered in the foot and mouth outbreak leading to an overall fall in the Welsh population. Their assembly has even less powers than the Scottish one. Plus point, their national anthem is in Welsh, (what the f**k are they singing? Do they even know?)

England is inevitably made fun of by other nations. The years of being slaughtered by the English took a large toll on the other nations. The population is generally larger. A Scotland effect is aparant in England. That is, the closer you get to the Scottish border the higher the unemployment rate. They have a shared national anthem (no hurt egos you see). Generally there are many jobs to be found in England. Also if you go abroad, no ones heard of Scotland or Wales (they are places in England you see). The Prince of Wales also lives here.

Thats right bash your nation time: Don't be afraid to start on European nations. What pees you off about them? What do you like?

What's also strange is the fact that he says he hates Scottish/Welsh/English bashing, then goes on to bash the Scottish and Welsh people.

"Scotland's great for handing around in pubs..." ???

I've never handed around in a pub in my life, I'm not sure I'd know what to hand around when I got there.

I also feel that this is a very smart post considering the forum is run by the owner of a shop in Scotland and that the majority of members are Scottish.

Would love to go on for ages I have so much more to say about this, but I'm busy sorting out stuff in my own forum right now.

No I hate it so I pointed out flaws in everyone. Bare in mind I'm Welsh.

Hmmm okay, didn't do too well at pointing out flaws of English people. It's also hard to bear in mind the fact that you're Welsh, when your profile says "Location: Bournemouth"

if you don't like it then why point out the flaws of anyone in the first place?;)

Welsh, when your profile says "Location: Bournemouth"

Because I no longer live there does not mean I am not Welsh, use your brain.

Scott - no didn't pick out too many flaws with the English as we tend to spend most our time picking on them. When it comes to it The English usually don't think of themselves as English in anything but sport but always think of themselves as British. With countries like Scotland and Wales the reverse is true and I don't know why. What you must remember is theres no true Scottish peeps and no true Welsh peeps as the last true pure Welsh and Scottish person died long ago (same with the English) and in Wales in paticular much of the nation had family that came from England when work became available in the Coal industry ect.

Its interesting to think about, but Id rather be British than French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Russian or American ect. Im also proud to be British.

Perhaps you didn't read my post too closely PJ, I didn't argue with the fact you were Welsh, I just said that, due to your profile, it's not immediately obvious that you are Welsh, hence I can understand why everyone took such offence when you first posted the crap about everyone's flaws.

I'm beginning to have doubts as to whether or not you actually know what you're talking about. I personally don't think of myself as British when it comes to sport.

As for the English, they are only English when something happens that makes them look good, not just in sport. If they do badly in the Olympics or some other sporting event, it's always British athletes/competitors/etc who do badly, but whenever they do well, they are English. If Scottish or Welsh people cause trouble abroad (ie in cases such as football riots, they are Scottish or Welsh. If they display notably exemplary behaviour, they are British.

Of course I know what I am on about, with family from all of the UK nations including Ireland and I spend much time in each.

I have always thought as myself as British. When I join the RAF its to serve Queen and Country whcih is not just England but is Britain.

Da rebel - the way I read it is the way I read it, anything else then I apologise.
