i have a 80mm Q-tec "quiet" fan heatsink combo on my XP1900+ but its louder than hell i need a cheap way to shut it up.
i have removed the grill from the top and the noise droped a bit but not enough.
the fan is currently running at 3154 RPM i think this is a bit to fast can i get a small cheap fan controller that fits between the fans 3 pin plug and the mobo

any help would be greatfully recived

i have looked at the baybus jobies but i think this kind of thing is exsesive for my situation

also if i slow down my cpu fan do i need to add a case fan to compensate for the loss of airflow

thanks

Rael

Use this to (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/product.php?view=2813&PHPSESSID=8a042b0d47fa2fb42750d14c307da4cb) slow your fan down.

Reducing the fan speed to, say, 2,200rpm shouldn't need any compensation by other fans.
