I mix in several spoonfuls of honey, which makes it vaguely bearable. Failing that, I attempt to down the vile stuff as soon as it's cooled a bit.
It's utterly grim when it's cold.

The blackcurrant one really is better than the honey and lemon, but if you cant get it just add blackcurrant cordial to the lemon one, its a bit more bearable!

It smells good! Shame about the taste :D The powdery sachet ones are bearable but when it comes down to the drink the Wolf has to put his paw down:mad:
I love em! I'm having one now.. mmm, that'l teach my awful cold!

Seeing this is only the second time this year I have dared step into the rant forum for the fear of setting off the worlds largest flame war, I feel I should comment here.
Like all good things, Lemsip is not something you like unless you drink alot of it as is often the case with many beers and tea and coffee. I used to hate lemsip but now I can't resist the lemony taste. The funny thing about lemsip is that an asperin and a cup of tea will have the exact same effect, most of its physchological.
Now all we need is a cougth syrup that doesn't make ya wanna rip ya own throat out.

Here's a little something for you all.
Taking aspring regularly, builds the imune system and helps keep colds away altogether, as well as protecting your heart! I can't remember the dosage, but this was different from what you'd usually expect from the medical profession, it was something like just takng it now and again wouldn't help, it really needed to be regular.
I'll find out the dosage again.
Another interested one, take honey, a teaspoon full a day, really keeps the colds away, I lasted all through winter without one, I only got one earlier this year, funnily enough I'd laid off the honey a bit. The stuff that's good, umm, can't remember it right now, but better to get the stuff that's cold pressed, don't get clear stuff, this is far too processed. Honey is a natural antibiotic, and people used to put it on cuts to stop infection, so try that as a preventitive measure to colds.
Another one is chocolate, depends on your taste, but dark chocolate like black magic or bournville a couple of blocks of this is very good for you, again it used to be prescribed to people who were depressed, it has ingridients(other than sugar) which make you happy, kind of like excercising and producing endorphins. The reason for the dark chocolate is it has higher concentration of cocoa
Also, for those of you who like hot chocolate, try getting something like powdered cocoa(i think cadburys do it), this is better for you than the normal hot chocolate and tastes great with maybe one sugar in it, admittedly a bit plain without the sugar 8)
Hope some of this keeps all you people a bit healthier.
:)
damn, i been trying to snort the powder :/

talking of honey!
if you get a bad case of hayfeaver during summer best thing you can do is find a local source or honey! the honey has a very small amount of pollen in it and this helps to build an immunity to it so your hayfeaver will not be as bad next year!
