Just saw the first episode of this televisual narcotic

I realised the first series was actually quite weak by the last episode having religiously watched it every sunday. I felt hugely let down.

Convince me that this series is worth watching (although I probably will watch it anyway and then moan about it later)

p.s.
Elisha Cuthbert (Kim Bauer) is looking even better this season. I think they changed the makeup people. I'm sure she'll be crying her mascara into a ditch while someone points a gun at her head soon enough though.

just finnished watching it on BBC3 :)

fave line of the first epp just after Jack shot the witness..
"I'm gonna need a hacksaw..."

and Elisha is as good as ever!
why should she drive when she can run... :)

I'm currently upto 3pm watching it on VCD recorded off US TV and the new series is just as much a "televisual narcotic" as the first one.

I've had the shakes for over a week waiting for the new ones, Got another 8 episodes arriving tomorow, its so much nicer to watch them back to back :)

Its certainly compelling viewing!

you better take it easy on those VCD's you don't want to run out of your fix of 24 now!!

24 is taking a break for a few weeks in the US :) they just shown 10pm-11pm epps.. and they are taking a break so they can catch up on filming! i think they have 5 or 6 epps to film yet.

OMG its SOOOOOOO good. Godam its the 4th episode.....a dudes had his head hacksawed off...one persons peen given a lethal dose of plutonium poisoning.....kim bauers done a few baywatch slow mo running scenes.....CTU's been bombed....the presidents ****ed off.....and jacks blasted loads of baddies bigstylee. AND ITS NOT EVEN 12.....

I already have ran out....I have whats known as "24 shakes" because I have withdrawal symptoms...really bad ones too....

i'm ****ed of with the gap in the US schedule - especially after the way ep 15 ended

its common for soem of the networks over there to have gaps around this time though
i know of a few shows which have stopped for a few weeks ( or several in a few cases)

It's lovely that all you people are so into this thing, I wish I enjoyed this one as much as the last rather than felt it was just something I HAD to watch. Still it's fun.

As the thread starter I feel It is my duty to call on the moderators to quickly remove ANY and ALL references to what actually happens in the series if it predates the general release on BBC 2 just incase it would really spoil some people's enjoyment of the thing.

I'm sure no-one would do this anyway because everyone's so into it they would understand but just in case hey.

I am worried that one of you clued up boys is going to let slip the fact that Kim Bauer is in fact an East German assasin clone of Jacks son who was kidnapped 12 years ago and use as a mule for exporting dirty bombs across international borders for use on the people of Kraplakistan.

Or something which is more unbelieveable and hence more likely to be in the show.

I can reasure you that i will not post any spoilers about what happens

but i will say that season 2 is actually quite a good one and worth watching for the reason that it is good rather than feeling
"it was just something I HAD to watch."

it continues to have the cliff hangers at the end of episodes that keep you on the edge of your seats wanting the next episode right there and then

thats what made the 1st season for me and it contineus to do so in season 2 with all its unexpected plot twists

I'm upto 7pm now with series 2 and I've gotta say its a touch far fetched this time. I've been like "yeah right!" its so OTT and poorly scripted in places.

Any Kim storyline is utterly pants, I wish she'd just die or something....then again surviving car crashes is her speciality isn't it. Shes such a pain in the **** though. I guess shes there as light relief from the main story line, but the only relief she brings is when shes running towards the camera and thats not very often.

I've gotta say its nowhere near as good as the first series......it appears to me that its not as well put together.

Still I'll keep watching it for now.

i am really annoyed how the bbc keeps on interfering with the run
its bad enough on bbc 2 but they also do it on bbc3 even though stuff like snooker aint on that channel

I liked it the first time coz I was away on DofE that week :) so i didn't miss anything (although with a combination of beeb 2 and 3 it wouldn't have mattered)...:D

she is an average presenter for an ok round up show

do u think bbc 3 will screen the finale week before bbc2 or do you think they will just show it on bbc2

Not to put too fine a point on it, my question regarding Tamsin was asking as to whether or not you would slip her a portion. Her talent as a TV presenter is by the by (I do however agree with your summation).

And I reckon the finale will be on 2 only and 3 will show the last few or all episodes back to back beforehand instead.
