I'm not pleased with them right now. Yes, by all means - ticket people who park on double yellow's or block access / cause an obstruction.
But ticketing people who park outside their work on a basis purely for raising revenue - that really annoys me !
you been given a ticket outside the shop? lol

look on the bright side. if you were in London they more than likely would have clamped or towed it away. you only have to park slightly askew for them to tow it in some places
Clamps are a thing of the pasy when you carry a petrol power disk cutter in the back of your car etc...:D
some of the parking restrictions in ayr seem pretty silly, and when traffic wardens dont consider circumstances such as yours.... you have a shop where i'm sure you'll pay extortionately high rates to the council for what can only ammount to nigh on pathetic returns, then they have the cheek to parking ticket you.......
see, even i'm annoyed now!
yeah tell me about it graeme i got 1 the other month ther for parkin in the high street in the works van
(was it the wee guy how looks like hitler)

i remember one time i was working in london as a courier, and had about 40 heavy parcels for one address
it was top floor of an office block, and lift was busted, so it took about 20 mins per load to get to it.
i could get 10 parcels a time on the barra, so was 4-5 trips
on the last but one trip a warden was near the van, i explained about the delivery, he nodded, i went to deliver it, got back and there was a ticket.....
couldnt believe it
same day another warden saved me a space near buck house to do a delivery, on a double red zone...
cant figure them out
Why are the double lines in London Red, and in the rest of the country Yellow?

cos in london they are a red route, no stopping at all, not even to drop off or unload, bigger fines and clamping

well i was in Edinburgh last week and was parked in a 1 hour zone, left the van for 2 and a half hours, when i came out the traffic warden was writing down the details of the car parked in front of me (it had only been there for 40 mins or so) i camly waited to sprint across the busy road, it was rush hour and the nearest crossing was a good few mins walk away!
when i got across the road i nodded to the traffic warden ( she was rather cute in her outfit) :) and jumped into the van, with the engine running i camly told her that that car infront had not been there for an hour yet! but the just ignored me and slapped the ticket on the car. As i drove away she realised the fact that my van had been there for longer than the hour limit! (she didn't have time to get my plate into her wee book thing so she could not give me a ticket). I also won £10 on the lottery that day too! ;) it was my lucky day!! ;)

Yea it sounds like a good idea. But remember: giving out parking tickets is the path to the dark side and you would have to live with the fact that everyone who ever sees you at work will hate you and wish evil things upon you.
Just thought I'd warn you. Have a nice day
