The first episode in the Animatrix series is being released free online tomorrow. I say first, but it's the first episode to be released online, but happens to be the second in the series... :confused: confused, I am :) They are releasing 3 more (in March, April and May) and the full series of 9 episodes is due out on DVD soon, I hope :)

Does anybody know when they'll be playing the flight of osiris over here? Its going to play before Dreamcatcher in the states but I have no idea what the plan is over here -_-;;

I have no idea... It is really hard to find UK info on the series. :mad:

I do know that flight of the osiris leads up to Matrix Reloaded. The film comes out on 23rd May and the Animatrix DVD is out on 2nd June. Could it be worth waiting for a week to see FOTO first?

Last flight or the Osiris will be shown before Dreamcatcher in the UK (seen an advert for it tagged to the dreamcatcher trailer)

I also seen a review in the latest edition of SFX, it takes up the story betwen the first and second movies and by the discription given in the review it's targeted at the same people who downloaded the Bikini pics of Aki Ross from "Final Fantesy: The movie"!! :) he! he!

Yeah some of that fight scene is shown in the trailer for animatrix. Shame that they are making us see a movie (one that i wasn't going to see originally, but may have to for this). Either that or wait for the dvd before going to see matrix reloaded...

Oh and a WOO HOO because we get the DVD one day before the yanks!!! :D

the first part to the animatrix is on with dreamcatchers at cinema just now so go see that film and see the 1st part aswell :)

even if movie is crap go see it anyway lol

Well I saw all of The Animatrix today! :D

So good to see (and hear) the second renaissance. The music in that is absolute class. Also noticed that one of the songs in one of the episodes is the music for one the reloaded teasers (or possibly the trailer).

Definately beats my crap computers attempt at playing them, even at the lowest resolution :rolleyes:

My favourite episode has to be Beyond, it's just such a different perspective. Plus it makes the paranoia feeling come back... because you know places like that. Those who have seen it will understand ;)

Can't wait for the DVD now, plus the soundtrack.

Well i have the DVD, the second renaissance parts are interesting and the Flight of the Osiris is nothing short of stunning, but all in all it's a let down with most of the episodes just being plan weird. Some nice explinations as to what's actually going on in reloaded though ;)

Some of the episodes are in the style of anime I'm not too keen on. Runner for instance. Just weird animation style, but still I like the plot lines so I can put up with it. I'm more into the Second renaisance style of anime :) (don't ask me what either style is called, not got a clue :D).

All in all, happy with the DVD :)

I loved the "Matriculated" short. It reminded me of the great "Aeon Flux" Cartoons on MTV years ago! ;)

Although "Beyond" was a great simple story and beautifully animated!

wonder if there are any Easter eggs on the disk for the rabbit to follow? ;)
