View Full Version : Dodge Tomahawk concept motorcycle
Dodge introduced its Tomahawk V-10, 8.3-liter (505 cubic inch) concept motorcycle at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 6, 2003. The superbike features independent four-wheel suspension, and its engine, borrowed from the Viper sports car, can propel the Tomahawk at speeds of nearly 400 mph!
Saw this on yahoo-news the other week, so I put all the photos on my webspace.......

Is this the most awesome motorcycle ever or what???
Maybe it's me but I always thought a bike had two wheels and a car four wheels. Isn't this a car with a narrow track?

i'd like to see someone picking that up after they dumped it in a town center :-)
Lol.......... only if they've been for a session a the gym.
I`d like to know how you`d manage to hold with that much power, let alone hang on at all with no front visor?
Still its absolutely mad isn`t it? reminds me of judge dreads bike.
Some more data can be found here...

Most bikers have got a slate loose (that includes me), but I think many will use the phrase "pass" as soon as they find out their head would be ripped off when they opened the throttle. And people say Yamaha R1's are a "Death bike"!!!

well, being a designer, i can say it's one of the ugliest bikes, no wait, one of the ugliest objects i have ever seen.
i do like the brakes though. especially the oppositely spaced ones at the front. :)
i very much doubt that you could do anywhere near 400mph on it though. the bike maybe capable of that but you would be blown off before 250mph i bet. these land speed record bikes are all aerodynamically covered and the rider practically lies on the floor. this would be just like sitting on a big brick in a 400mph wind.
