View Full Version : Transfer Window
Anyone who follows football will know all about the new transfer window in place.
Are any of you watching the news waiting for your club to sign the last peice of the jigsaw for success, and hate the transfer window for all the added stress.
Or do you think its a good idea and promotes teams to use their own youth system?
Or do you not really care?
I think its a good idea. Man Utd had injury problems and in other season probably would have bought a player or two, but this season struggled on and saw some excellent performances. Plus players like Veron and Scholes found some excellent form which is continuing.
Also every player in the owrld doesn't get linked to the club every week now. :D
For me its a plus
For me it's a good idea that seems to be working well. It brings a lot of stability to the market and to clubs who can concentrate on planning the season instead of chasing new/trying to keep players for most of the season.

I am a season ticket holder at Celtic Park. Although i don't really care about the smaller teams ie. dundee, partick and even lower league teams i do think that the transfer window has/could hurt them. with already high wage bills they can't afford to keep a lot of players at the club so when an injury occurs to a key player they used to be able to go out and sign one on a short term deal. instead they have to bring in youngsters who end up playing out of their depth and getting low on confidence when they don't perform well.
all in all it has more disadvantages than advantages and the sooner the governing body gets rid of it the better.
