We'll be running a World of Tanks theme night on Friday 8th July.
Arrival from 5pm with the event running 6pm-11pm.
Bring Your Own Computer, although some systems may be available to borrow - please request here if you need a PC or screen.
Entry cost for the evening is £5.
I know there's a bunch of folk who will know this game better than I do, but I was going to suggest that we started with a team game with randomised players, and then try seeding the teams a little based on results from that. Then look to group everyone to one team and play a battle online against other players.

When you're so alone that you're a one person lan where the host isn't even on the signup list :(
Forever alone.

I'm unsure if I'll be taking part - I've not had a chance to play it yet and got a lot to do at the mo so starting a game and getting levelled up isn't really an option for me at the mo.
More will join up though, I think - I certainly know a few folk asked for this as an event.

There are a variety of light, medium and heavy premium tanks available of different tiers to purchase if you wish.
It gets you underway without having to battle it out with the three toy tanks you start out with....:) Otherwise you could still join in with them and go scouting....

Planned to get a start on this last night, but by the time I was home, fed, washed and had it installed it was 11.30 so didn't seem the ideal time to be 'starting' a game.
But I'll certainly take part and be a scout, probably working late the next two evenings again so I don't think I'll be levelling up beforehand.
Added my name to the participants now, feels strange not being at the top of the list.
To our existing attendees - please nudge any of your fellow local WoT players to get them to come along :D

Might have a few more folk along at the last minute actually. On another note though, does anyone already have a premium account so that we can create Platoons?
If not I'll get some credit and upgrade so that we can actually make something of a LAN out of it :)

I've got a premium account so can create a platoon up to 3 players, companies or training battles. I think with the last update you can have a platoon of 2 players with no premium account required....

An invitation only training room might be the best starting point where we can set up two teams between us and get some practice before hitting the masses, however you don't earn any credits or xp..... but it lets you explore the different maps and get a feel of your tanks abilities.:)
For a tank company we can have up to 15 players but all tanks in said company have to have a combined level between 70 and 90 points.
Platoons 2-3 players per team.

Still can't stop singing about the buttery biscuit bass.
World of Tanks was really enjoyable though, definitely picks up a lot once the tank is improved a little :)
