one of those things u want/have but probably dont know how to use. they are also mostlly over priced and designed for lazy ppl and they generally are not needed because the same effect could easilly be achieved by getting up of ur fat a*** and doing it manually.

Something that makes you say "I want one" repeatedly before running out and spending a weeks wages on it, only to find that the novelty wears off far sooner than expected.

Got it in one, Forthy. For example, James Bond has a remote controlled car in Tomorrow Never Dies, but by the time The World Is Not Enough comes around, it seems Q got bored with that idea and scrapped it...

Surely if I was a secret agent man, i'd want as much as possible...

A Gadget is the offspring of the amphibious mammal - The Gadge.
Gadges are found in most western countries and have flourished by making themselves desirable to human beings for reasons which the unfortunate humans cannot seem to work out.

These Gadges, having secured a place in a human's home, proceed to amaze friends and neighbours by performing fantastic tricks or just looking darned cute. For these reasons, it is unlikely that the gadges owners will want to have just one and so they get a companion.

These gadges then invariably go on to procreate resulting in a house full of almost utterly useless "Gadgets" which clutter up the house. They are impossible to house train and so houses which are full of Gadgets are often littered with their waste matter. This waste matter is most frequently found in the form of long lengths of copper wire strewn across rooms and tangled behind desks. To sustain their appetites requires the provision of numerous six gang extension plug power strips from which they nourish themselves whilst creating undulating whining noises and generally making it impossible to relax in ones own home.

So Gadgets are a menace

and when they grow up to become fully grown Gadges, there will be heck to pay, heck I tell you.

Aint whisky great?

definately the adults version of sweets when we were kids.

Basically gadget is usually used to define any cool tech that isn't exactly needed but you want it anyways - like the iphone for example :D

One of the problems there is it needs a temp of around 60degC to get going.... And being a single cylinder, if it stops with the components in alignment it takes a little 'tap' to get it going...

But, never let practicality get in the way of a gadget! :D

Surely the need for it to be at 60C to work is a good thing as it will only spin up as and when needed:D.
