Samsung F4 HD204UI/Z4 2Tb Hard Disks (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_6248.html) are arriving on Monday 8th - priced at £68.15 inc VAT these are an absolute bargain in terms of storage volume, but notable as well for their low power consumption (maximum of 6.3W, idle at 5.1W) and low noise - making these great for storage in media servers or HTPC systems.

SSD storage gets gradually more affordable - and if you've not already made the leap, here's another opportunity to be enticed...

Remember the 'BigFoot' hard disks in the late 90's? These were physically larger hard disks that compromised density for value and gave more storage for the money versus their regular sized counterparts. Thankfully, not quite so massive, the OCZ Vertex 2E drives are 3.5" bay size rather than 2.5" but offer a reasonable saving over the smaller drives. With Vertex 2E 120Gb (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_6272.html) at £182.99 inc VAT and Vertex 2E 240Gb (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_6273.html) at £340.00 inc VAT it's another step in the right direction, with the reasonable 120Gb now enough to contain a sizeable game collection and not break the bank either. Stock of 120Gb model arrives on Tuesday with 240Gb ordered by request on a 3 day lead time.

Meanwhile, the ultra fast RevoDrive 120Gb (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_6212.html) and 240Gb (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_6213.html) take a fall in price, no doubt in preparation for the launch of RevoDrive X2. 540MB/s read speed on this original model though is still not be sniffed at though !
