Yeah the buses ain't much better! I get on the EXPRESS bus to Glasgow at 7.30am and quite often don't get into the station until 9.20am.
LOL....Beat a 9 1/2 hour trip on the train form sheffield to london...Then the 30 quid taxi ride cause they decided to drop us off at some station on the outskirts of london...
Faaa
lol, you cant get to devon quicker then that from Stockport, and thats at about the same lattitude as sheffield near enough.
lol does that include the 2 hours waiting outside a tunnel just, to be told that its flooded with the few drops of rain that had fallen in the last hour....Dam railways hate em
Scotrail get on me aswell. Lack of service on a Sunday till about 1pm for half the year on the train line near me. Also rediculous things like sending a two carriage v v old diesel train to deal with about the busiest time on a Saturday going into Edinburgh on the East L line ,usually a much bigger and newer electric train :/. iirc Scotrail franchise is up at the moment and people are bidding, wonder how that'll go !

They seem to put the smallest trains on at the busiest times. The 7:43 from Ayr to Glasgow and several times I've actually had to go to Glasgow cuz I couldn't get off at Paisley. The carriage was just too busy. They only had 3 carriages. Then when I was coming back at about 2pm they had a 6-carriager and i don't think there were more than 10 ppl in each one.
