Milk Bottle Seals

You know those mike bottle seals you get on ASDA plastic milk cartons, the ones that say pull to open.

Why the hell can't I get one of these off with out nearly tearing the plastic bit right off.

there's definitely a knack to it mate. One which I have finally mastered! It's almost impossible to describe but you have to kind of grab it by the corner closest to the glued bit and pull it as though you're folding it back on itself.

Are you talking about the ones around the outside of the cap?

I always hated them, dunno why but just something about them. Now I shop at Tesco :D

You mean the plastic saw tooth ones. I prefer them actually. :D

i always feel the saw toothed ones dont hold the milk, they don't seem as seeled as the foil under the cap... Could just be my paranoia about milk though :)

Just depends what angle you store them at.

Nothing worse than waking up in the morning going to the fridge, opening it up and see a huge milk lake in the bottom. :D

you pull it off in the direction the tab sticks up (vertically). Not in the direction your indicated to. :)

grab tab and pull it in the direction of it very fast , worsk every time.

Don't worry it happens to the best of us. I usually grab it right at the corner where it is glued and pull up and away from the glued bit, that seems to work.

PS - what a sad state of affairs when the great minds of this forum are reduced to discussing milk lids, lol. Keep up the good work.
