I have just installed vista ultimate x64 and now it doesnt see my graphics card in device manager and when i try and install the drivers is says it cant detect my hardware and the driver is not supported.
even though my GPU is on the list of cards on the nvidia site that is for the driver
any ideas??????
There will be some kind of display adaptor in Device manager, even if it's generic... Anything at all?
As for the driver, you have got the x64 driver downloaded, right?

Yep, so what about the Display Adaptor? What is listed? And don't tell me nothing's there, because otherwise you wouldn't be seeing windows.

right then, attached is a screen of my device manager and i select show hidden devices and it shows VGASAVE could this be the prob m8.
Hopefully shud be gettin a ps/2 keyboard so i can finally enter the bios to try the advice i was given for my bluesceen issue.
also if i reset the bios will i have to set all of the settings again, like boot priority and other things.
Im gonna try 1. reset the bios, 2. set the clock speeds manually to the original settings and also check the graphics card device.
what graphics port are you plugged into on your system, the one on the motherboard or the graphics card one.
Have you installed ALL the motherboard drivers (note the below) as you have a warning on a pci to pci bit in your device manager.
I would also expect you need to go into the bios and set graphics priority to the external graphics card as its still showing some ati bits. Having 2 graphics cards (onboard and pcie) can cause a few headaches if you don't do things properly.
Just to be certain here, you have actually got x64 and not x86 haven't you ;)

It says on the case windows vista ultimate SP1 64bit and this also shows in the screen attached.
The reason for the crap performance rating is due to the graphics card issue. when it is fixed it should be back to 5.8 like it was when it was first installed.
