Over at UTB we run semi-regular LAN parties for peeps to get together over the weekend and have a much more social gaming session (generally inviolves more beer, pizza and screaming than playing online lol). We're on to our 5th event now (and 2nd in Sunderland), and its happening on the 1st and 2nd of November at Castletown Community Centre in Sunderland.
I'd like to throw an open invitation to all the members of Kustoms forums that may be in the right geographical location (or indeed anywhere if you dont mind travelling). Full information can be found over on the LAN Site http://www.utblan.co.uk but in brief, heres an outline.
Runs from 9.30am on Saturday through to approx 6pm on the Sunday. All networking and servers will be setup and ready to connect to on the Saturday morning. Cost is £20.00 for the weekend, with ALL money going into the LAN itself (Hall and power costs, plus prizes). We run mainly team-based tournaments in games such as BF2, CoD4, Unreal Series, but also run some fun mods such as BF2 Pirates etc. Console corner is also normally up and running for anyone that fancies a break, be it on the Dance Mats, Guitar Hero or Eyetoy.
Thats just a quick rundown, but like I say, for anyone that is interested, check out the site for full info. Also, if anyone does plan on travelling any distance, let me know, as we can arrange a place to stay on the Friday night if needed.
