Electricity Rates

Odd question, but hopefully a quick answer. My electricity supplier (like most) charges two different rates ; one for the first 700odd KWh, one for everything after that. Am I right in thinking that that's the first 700KWh in a year, or is it in a month?

Year I would think, but they'll pro-rata it down to the billing period.

Sounds like a year, 700KWh would be hard to do in a month unless you are running a data centre or something :p
