Hello, I am about to buy this laptop and I like everything about it, except one thing. On the Toshiba site there are only x32 bit drivers and I am worried if this laptop will ever be able to run x64 bit OS (i.e. Vista). I have done research but didn't find anything specific, only that the Processor supports x64 bit.
Can anyone please look into this and advise me.
Below I have provided some links on the specifications of the laptop:

Processor:

Drivers:

Another remarkable thing that makes me consider if the laptop is able to run x64 is that the memory can be upgraded up to 8 GB. And only x64 bit supports more then 3GB of memory. But at the same time the installed memory on the laptop is only 3GB, so it was made ready for x32.

Again I would really appreciate if you could help me out on this one, thank you!

I wouldn't bother! The last time I had to go through Toshiba's website looking for drivers for one of their bloomin' laptops, I lost a good deal of hair in the process.

They're also LITTERED with awful applications as standard. Stay well away.

Toshiba themselves might not supply 64bit drivers, but if you've got your heart set on it, you'll be able to find OEM drivers- eg, chipset drivers from intel, sound drivers from Realtek, etc...

Are you sure, because its almost impossible to find a compatible driver when not using the official site of the laptop manufacturer.

It's often easier to get OEM drivers when it comes to websites like Toshiba's ;)

It's a Core 2 Duo laptop, so most of the stuff in there (graphics, wifi, chipset...) will all be intel anyway... Probably the only other things you might have will be sound (realtek)...
