US or UK

ok this maybe a real dumb question but whats the difference between a US layout or a UK layout on a keyboard?

The At (@) and Inch (") symbols are the other way round
The Enter key is horizontal, like the shift key, as opposed to vertical.
Other differences vary according to make.

Apple uses the US-style @ and " symbols on their UK keyboards.
Toshiba use the US-style Enter key on UK keyboards.
