Greggs Chicken Club. But you need to add your own mayo these days :(

Well in terms of speed, it's a bit of a no brainer... the 9800 is basically the new 8800, and thus it's much faster and better.

But in terms of price, the 8800GT 512MB is currently around the £110 marker, and is absolutely fantastic value for money for a very fast card.

amd athlon x2 5200 2.7ghz
2gb ddr2 800 corsair ram
nvidia geforce 9800 512mb:)

There are a few benchmarks out there that'll answer this question....

I'd recommend a Subway sandwich. You can chose every last detail, right down to what bread you want. And for a 6", Drink, and Cookie or Crisps its much cheaper and much more delicious than junk ass McDonalds.

It's worth noting, though, that Subway food has been found to contain large quantities of salt, and thus shouldn't be mistaken for healthy eating.

For the record, I found a most excellent search engine HERE (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=safari&rls=en-gb&q=geforce+260+280+benchmarks&btnG=Search).

It seems that while the GeForce 280 is a fast card, the Radeon 3870 X2 piddles on it in most tests for a comparable price.

hey subway may not be healthy but its a hell of a lot better than macdonalds, plus much more tasty, good deals, nice staff(usually).
i think im gonna go for the gtx 280, but is the 260 better than the 9800gt2?

in other words what should be my second and third choice?

I would recommend the ATI 4870 over any of those cards. The only card it marginally loses out to is the 280, but comes in at half the price. And you can crossfire a couple of 4870's for nearly the same price as the 280, and have an amazing graphics set up. And it beats the 260 and 9800GX2. And the lower end ATI 4850 slaughters the 8800 and 9600, and even the 9800GTX.

If I were you I'd wait until the next gen cards - they'll be out soon enough.. ;)
