I've got a problem with my PC now that Vista SP1 has been installed. Basically browsers and mail clients stop connecting to servers after 30mins-2 hours of activity.

A quick search on Google shows that intermittent internet connections are a problem with Vista but i can't relate any of the online remedies to my problem.

What's strange here is i don't loose the internet connection completely, I can still use remote desktop to access my virtual server over the internet and I can also ping domains, which resolve, so its not a DNS issue.

I deactivate Zone Alarm, and my Anit-Virus (Nod32) and i still have the same problem.

Has anyone else has this? Can anyone shed any light on this?

Maybe hitting the max number of TCP connections? At a guess?

Thanks for the reply latency. I don't think it's a TCP limit as other TCP based communications still work.

Hmm... I assume other computer don't have this problem? just to eliminate the router?

No, the laptop, xbox and wii all work - its just the PC that's having troubles after Vista SP1 installation
