Has anyone registered for the beta test, i have but when does it start

Although no release date has been confirmed by EA ("fourth quarter 2008" is all I know)... the website (http://www.ea.com/redalert/iframe_beta.jsp) states that you have to sign up for the beta before 15th September.
That *might* suggest the beta will be released shortly thereafter?

It's usually the last working day of the week such events take place... and since the 15th September is a Monday... they *could* be planning to release it on Friday 19th September?

I played all the games till death until the most recent cnc which I found too fast and too much....I hope they dumb it down a bit.

I even liked generals as a standalone...but online was woeful , well I was anyway.

I prefer the red alert games to the tiberium ones.

Didnt buy the C&C3 expansion due to hating C&C3 so ill be waiting till the day its released

I used to play Red Alert 2 obsessively. Was brilliant online, managed a fairly decent ranking if I remember correctly. Nostalgia, they don't make it like they used to.

I played Tiberian Sun a few weeks back, all the missions for both sides- it's great playing the old games at uber high modern resolutions- you can see about half the entire map on your screen at any one time ;)
